Corporate Translations, Legal Translations of International Financing Agreements in the Current Economic Crisis

September 22, 2008
Professional corporate translation services and legal translation services come in handy for translations of international financing agreements in the current financial and economic crisis, which has dominated the headlines.  Due to the world's financial institutions being linked via the intense period of globalization occurring over the last decade - the crisis is affecting markets across the globe. Just last week, the Bush Administration proposed a bailout plan that now includes assistance to non U.S.-based institutions, which have significant activity within the U.S.

So what does this mean? It means a return to the original papers that set up the international financing agreements. Much of the determination of who gets what will depend on the individual financial institution's charter and operation agreements. In order to make this determination, it is likely that the English translation, as well as foreign language translations of the various articles of incorporation - along with any and all multinational contractual agreements - will be required. From these foreign language translations, a determination of whether the financial institution qualifies for the bailout can be made.
